Vidisha’s Masala is singular, a one-of-one product with a flavor like nothing you ever tasted. Vidishas is Inspired by the flavors of Indian cuisine and is based on the family Masala of Vidisha Patel, a friend of our distiller. Vidisha’s is an act in 3 parts. On the nose Vidisha’s presents cumin with warming spices in the background. On the tongue the warming spices of cinnamon, cloves and bay leaves comes to the fore. On the finish the flavor gives way to the black pepper which lingers pleasantly as a reminder of what you just experienced. In cocktails Vidisha’s adds a distinct spice note. With its warm flavor profile, the natural application for Vidisha’s is in Fall and Winter cocktails. But make a Sari, Not Sorry and you will see that Vidisha’s is equally at home in refreshing Spring and Summer cocktails by adding a hint of sophistication.

Bollywood Daiquiri

1 oz lime
.5 oz pineapple
.5 oz tamarind
.5 oz simple
.5 oz Vidisha’s
1.5 oz Rum
Shake and fine strain all ingredients into a chilled coupe glass, garnish with a dehydrated lime.

1.5 oz DHD Vodka
.5 oz Vidisha’s Masala
1 oz pineapple juice
.75 oz lime juice
.25 oz passion fruit nectar
.5 oz vanilla syrup
In a shaker tin, add vanilla, lime, passion fruit, pineapple, Vidisha’s Masala, and Vodka. Fill with ice, and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain over a large cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lime.

.75 oz lemon juice
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.5 oz Libertasse triple sec
1 oz DHD Vodka
Add jam, lemon juice, Vidisha’s Masala, Libertasse, and DHD Vodka to a tin. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Fine strain into a chilled Nick and Nora. Garnish with half a fig.

Monkey Business

3 dashes tiki bitters
.75 oz banana puree
.25 oz pistachio orgeat
.75 oz lemon
1 oz pineapple
.5 oz Vidisha’s Masala
1.5 oz Single Malt
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain over a large cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with a banana chip and grated nutmeg.

Mumbai Margarita

1 oz Illegal Mezcal
.5 oz Casamigos Blanco
.5 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.75 oz lime
.5 oz agave
Add agave, lime, Vidisha’s Masala, Casamigos, and Mezcal to a shaker tin. Fill with ice, and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain over a large cube, and garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel and star anise.

Mumbai Nights

2 oz DHD Single Malt
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.25 oz Chai concentrate
.5 oz lemon
egg white
Saffron threads
In a shaker tin, add lemon, egg white, Chai, Vidisha’s, and Single Malt, and dry shake for 8-10 seconds. Add ice, and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds, and fine strain into a chilled coupe. Using tongs, add three saffron threads to the center.

New Delhi

2 oz DHD Bourbon
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.75 oz Vermaux
2 dashes aromatic bitters
2 dashes cardamom bitters
orange twist for garnish
In a mixing glass, add bitters, Vermaux, Vidisha’s, and bourbon. Fill with ice, and stir for 12-15 seconds, or until properly diluted. Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with an expressed orange twist.

PSL Espresso Martini

.75 oz pumpkin spice syrup
.75 oz espresso
.75 oz light cream
.75 oz Barista Coffee Liqueur
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
1.5 oz DHD Vodka
Mix all ingredients in a shaker tin, fill with ice, and shake vigorously for 6-8 seconds. Fine strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with pumpkin spice blend.

1.5 oz Vodka
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.75 oz lemon
.5 oz simple
Shake vigorously for 8-10. “Dirty Dump” onto a collins or double rocks glass. Add ice if necessary. Garnish with a mint sprig and whole star anise.

2 dash habanero bitters
.75 oz Sorrel syrup
.75 oz lime
1 oz Pom
.25 oz Vidishas
.25 Libertasse
1.5 oz vodka
Shake and strain over ice in a Collins glass. Garnish with a torched rosemary stalk.

1.5 oz DHD Agave Spirit
.25 oz Vidisha’s Masala
.75 oz lime juice
.5 oz agave nectar
Add agave nectar, lime juice, Vidisha’s Masala, and Agave Spirit into a shaker tin. Fill with ice, and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain over ice in a double rocks glass. Garnish with a whole star anise and a lime wheel.

1 oz pineapple juice
.75 oz Vidishas Masala
1.5 oz DHD Vodka
2 oz ginger beer (topper)
Add simple, lime, pineapple, Vidishas, and vodka to a tin. Shake with ice. Strain over a large cube in a double rocks glass. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a mint and Meethi rose.
